ATHENS, 10 APRIL 2017. CONDOLENCES LETTER OF I.A.O. ON THE TERRORIST ATTACKS IN THE CITIES OF ALEXANDRIA AND TANTA, EGYPT.
The Interparliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy (I.A.O.) sent letters of condolences signed by the I.A.O. Secretary General, member of the Hellenic Parliament Dr. Andreas Michailidis and the President of the I.A.O. General Assembly, Member of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia Mr. Sergei Popov to the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Egypt Dr. Ali Abd El-Aal and to H.H. Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of All Africa of the Coptic Orthodox Church for the terrorist attacks in Egypt.
The letter of condolences states inter-alia: «…During the days of Jesus Christ’s Suffering and Resurrection, we are devastated over the murder of innocent worshipers by terrorists.
Once again, peaceful citizens, Christian in faith, are paying in blood acts of violence and terrorism
Once again, we strongly condemn terrorism, wherever it comes from, and offer our sincere condolences to the citizens of Egypt and the families of the victims…».
