ATHENS, 5 NOVEMBER 2018. STATEMENT ABOUT THE ATTACK AGAINST EGYPTIAN CHRISTIAN CITIZENS

The Interparliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy (I.A.O.) expresses its dismay and deep sorrow about the atrocious attack against Egyptian Christian citizens.

Once more, in a very short time period, the world of peace, understanding, and religious reconciliation, has suffered a bloody attack and is mourning innocent citizens.

We express our sincere condolences to the peoples, the Ancient and Oriental Orthodox Church of Egypt and the Government and our support in their efforts to combat terrorism and,

We call the international community to contribute towards the protection of Christians in the wider Middle East region.
