ATHENS, 27 JULY 2016. STATEMENT ON THE TERRORIST ATTACK IN NORMANDY AND ATROCIOUS MURDER OF PRIEST JACQUES HAMEL.

The Interparliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy (I.A.O.) has learned with deep sorrow about the tragic event of the terrorist attack and atrocious murder of priest Jacques Hamel.

First, we express our sympathy for the suffering French people and encourage them not to succumb to the fear of terrorism. And second, we express our heartfelt condolences for the loss of father Jacques Hamel and state that every murder of a Lord’s servant is one more nail into the heart of society.
