Parliamentary Activities

• He served as Member of the Hellenic Parliament, Evros Constituency for the New Democracy Party in the period 2004-2009.
• He was re-elected MP after the elections on July 7, 2019.
• Member of the Parliamentary delegation to the Interparliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy (I.A.O.), I.A.O. Treasurer and Rapporteur of the I.A.O. Financial Committee.

Political / Social Activities

• Expert Collaborator at the political office of the Prime Minister Konstantinos Mitsotakis for two years (1990 – 1992).
• He was a member of the Executive Office of ONNED, as head of Ideological and Political Planning with the then President Kostis Hatzidakis, and member of the Executive Committee of New Democracy Political Party.
• He served the Prefecture as Prefectural Advisor of Evros in the period 1994-1998.
• In 2007 the Prefectural Party “Cooperation for our Country”, of which he was the leader as a candidate for Prefect, came first in Evros with a percentage of over 50%, but was not elected due to the electoral system and the result in the prefecture of Rodopi.
