Conference with subject: “Christian Life and political power”, Milan, 28 – 29 August.

Conference with subject: “The social conflicts and religion”, San Gimiano, 30 August – 1 September.

The delegation of the Interparliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy (I.A.O.) by the Secretary General and member of Greek Parliament Mr. Anastasios Nerantzis with the participation of advisors Dr. Kostas Mygdalis and Prof. Valery Alexeev participated at the conference with subject: “Christian Life and political power”, organized jointly by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and by the Pontifical University Antonianum (Rome) on the occasion of the 1,700th anniversary of the Edict of Milan, which was hosted at the Catholic University of Sacred Heart in Milan. The Secretary General of I.A.O. presented suggestion on the central theme.

After Mass at the Cathedral of Milan, the delegation had a meeting with Cardinal Angelo Scola of Milan whom he briefed on the activities of the I.A.O. and presented a commemorative gift.

The second conference with subject: “The social conflicts and religion in the Mediterranean”, held in San Gimiano, (Florence), in the Summer School of CISRECO (Summer School of the Centre for Research on Contemporary Religions), where the delegation made suggestions and had a meeting with the Mayor of the city and the Chairman of the Centre and thanked them for the invitation and hospitality.
