MAPUTO, MOZAMBIQUE, 4 MAY 2012.
Meetings of I.A.O. delegation with the Prime Minister of Mozambique and the President of the Parliament of Mozambique.
An I.A.O. delegation consisting of Mr. Theodore Ssekikubo (Uganda) and the I.A.O. Advisors Prof. Valery Alexeev and Dr. Kostas Mygdalis, as well as the head of the Pan-African Parliament’s Coordinating Cooperation Committee with the I.A.O., Mr. Marwick Khumalo, visited Mozambique and had meetings with the Prime Minister of Mozambique Dr. Aires Bonifácio Baptista Ali and the President of the Parliament of Mozambique Mrs. Verónica Nataniel Macamo Dlovo. Aim of the visit was to inform the Parliament as well as the Government of Mozambique about the I.A.O. activities in Africa, such as the I.A.O. the Pan-African Parliament’s initiative to establish a Foundation, seated in Maputo with title “Foundation for Democracy and Parliamentarism, Religious Cooperation and Conciliation in Africa”.
Bishop Ioannis of Mozambique, coordinator of the I.A.O. activities in Africa, liaison between the I.A.O. and the Pan-African Parliament, participated in all aforementioned meetings.
