ATHENS, APRIL 2013. BRIEFING OF THE U.N. S.G. MR. BAN-KI-MOON ON THE KIDNAPPING OF THE TWO ORTHODOX BISHOPS FROM SYRIA.

On the occasion of the official visit of the U.N. Secretary General Mr. Ban Ki-Moon to Mozambique, His Eminence Bishop Ioannis of Mozambique, Coordinator of the I.A.O.’s activities in Africa, liaison between the I.A.O. and the Pan-African Parliament had the opportunity to meet with him and present to him the I.A.O. statement-impeachment regarding the kidnapping of the two Bishops from Syria, as well as the statement on the dramatic and merciless events surrounding the civil war in Syria and briefed him on the current state of the relevant investigation.

In addition, the leaders of all Churches in Mozambique were informed on the aforementioned statements.
